July 24, 2026: Working through the launch of DecisionTeam. Private Beta is up, recruiting owners to use it and give feedback, and preparing for the full launch.

If we haven't talked for a while, here's what I'm up to.

Took a hiatus from tech (and being an executive) starting in 2021. Wanted to spend a few years learning, teaching, and coaching. Mostly leadership and management. Did that. It was fun.

Started using early GenAI tools in that teaching work. When ChatGPT came out in late 2022, I started getting back into coding. I've really enjoyed it.

A lot of the bloat and complexity that made modern programming painful was alleviated by GenAI. I've been coding a lot for the last few years.

My time these days is spent:

  • Founding/building DecisionTeam (https://www.decisionteam.com/). An AI-powered decision support tool for business owners. Fills that gap between lightweight advisory (think informal mentors and generative AI) and heavyweight advisors (think consultants and coaches). It's for those decisions that are too important to wing, but too frequent to escalate.
  • Working as an engineer/internal consultant for a large, international enterprise SaaS product. Focused mostly on AI tooling, AI development, and data work. Supporting dev teams in the US, India, and South America.
  • Exploring/building agentic software development tools. Everything is moving fast, but I have a solid agentic pipeline in place that lets me produce 5+ PRs/day at very high quality. Big gap I'm trying to fill is more formal evals for both the dev pipeline and the AI tools I'm building. Learned a lot by studying Blitzy and how the teams at OpenAI and Anthropic work.
  • Moving a lot of my stuff off the cloud and onto Linux. I've enjoyed rebuilding my home lab and public hosting on Linux. Just wanted more flexibility without having to spin up app services all of the time.
